Our commitment
Norrith is built to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. Accessibility isn't a checkbox at the end. It's part of how we design and build both this website and the Norrith app. This statement describes where we stand and how to reach us if something gets in your way.
Standards we follow
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and are working toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA. In the W3C's terms, Norrith is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA: most of the website and app meet the standard, and we are actively closing the gaps noted below. As an Ontario company, we also build with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) in mind. On iOS, the Norrith app is designed to work with Apple's built-in accessibility features, including VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, and Reduce Motion.
This statement reflects our own internal self-assessment. We have not yet commissioned a third-party accessibility audit, so some issues may not have been caught. Reports from people who use assistive technology are one of the fastest ways we find and fix them.
On this website
On norrith.com, that includes:
- Keyboard access: every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus ring and a “skip to main content” link.
- Screen readers: semantic headings, labelled forms and controls, descriptive alt text on images, and live-region announcements for form results.
- Colour & contrast: body text meets the WCAG AA contrast ratio against our dark surfaces.
- Reduced motion: animations are minimised for visitors whose system requests reduced motion.
- Responsive & zoom: the layout adapts from small phones up, with comfortable touch targets and no loss of content when zoomed.
In the Norrith app
Inside the iOS app, we build for the same standard:
- VoiceOver: controls carry descriptive labels and roles, so VoiceOver announces what each element is and what it does.
- Spoken announcements: important changes, such as a save, an error, or a result, are announced aloud, not just shown on screen.
- Charts you can read: every chart has a text summary, so its meaning is available without having to see it.
- Dynamic Type: text scales with your iOS text-size setting, up to the AX3 accessibility size.
- Reduce Motion: animations are minimised when you turn on Reduce Motion.
- Contrast: text meets the WCAG AA contrast ratio.
- Colour is never the only signal: anything shown with colour also carries a label, an icon, or text, so meaning never depends on colour alone.
- Touch targets: interactive controls meet the 44pt minimum target size.
- App lock & privacy: biometric unlock and one-tap amount-hiding are built to work alongside your assistive technology, not against it.
Ongoing work & known limitations
Accessibility is never “done.” We test as we build, fix issues as we find them, and will keep improving through and beyond launch. The limitations we know about today:
- Largest Dynamic Type sizes: in the app, text scales up to the AX3 accessibility size. At the two largest sizes, AX4 and AX5, the app holds text at AX3 so dense financial layouts stay readable rather than overflowing. Raising this limit is on our roadmap.
- Third-party content: some elements provided by third parties may not yet meet every criterion.
- Self-assessment: because our conformance is based on internal review rather than a third-party audit, some issues may not have been caught yet.
If you hit a barrier we haven't caught, please tell us. Real reports are the fastest way we improve.

If any part of Norrith is hard to use with your assistive technology, email support@norrith.com and tell us what happened, the page or screen, and the assistive technology you were using. A real person reads every message. We aim to respond within 10 business days, and we'll work with you to sort it out and fix the underlying issue.
